  • Can I drop by and find out more?
While we would love for you to stop in and take a tour of one of our studios, our administration and bookings are fully online. To keep class prices competitive, we do not maintain a full time receptionist. However, we do answer the phone (when we are not teaching) and are always happy to discuss specific questions. If you are new to Pilates and want some dedicated guidance, you can schedule an introductory private session to address your goals, needs and concerns one-on-one.
  • How long are the sessions?
All sessions are 55 minutes with a 5 minute break prior to the next session to allow for sanitizing of common surfaces.
  • What should I wear?
Wear comfortable, breathable clothes that you can move easily in. Make sure the clothes are not too baggy, the teacher needs to see your body's alignment. Pilates can be practiced in bare feet or socks. No shoes are required - we recommend non-slip tread socks, or grippy socks.
  • Is there a parking close by?
Yes! There is a free parking just in front of the studio.
  • Will male clients benefit from Pilates?
Yes! Pilates is a great workout regime for men of all fitness levels. Either you are professional athlete, fitness enthusiast, working professional, or someone who is recovering from the injury, Pilates can be great addition to your working out routine. You can add Pilates in conjunction with the any other type of the strength training or sport. And after all Pilates was developed by a man :)
  • What is the difference between working out on specialized equipment vs. working out on mat?
Pilates method includes both mat-work and specialised apparatus. Mat-work exercises are performed with gravity as a primary source of the resistance. Small apparatus as bands, balls, circles, weights could be added to maximize toning results. On the other hand, Pilates specialised equipment, like the Reformer, Cadillac, Stability Chair, can act as a support system for the body by helping to keep proper form and body alignment. The spring as a part of the specialised Equipment adds the resistance to each exercises. Different loads affect and challenge different muscle groups. Equipment gives unlimited programming possibilities, makes the sessions challenging but fun, and most importantly allows people of all capabilities (including those injured) to safely complete the sessions.
